*WELCOME*

Welcome to anniespinkhouse on Dreamwidth. The username Eisht is from my Tumblr and in case you're wondering is more of a 'hush' noise. It is Wenglish (corrupted Welsh/English spoken in the Welsh Valleys) and is from the Welsh word 'ust' meaning 'Be quiet'. It is quite literally me reminding myself to shut the fuck up, nobody needs to be bored by my crap.

I shall be moving from LJ very slowly. For now I
have only imported my entries. All my links take back to LJ. I simply don't have the spoons to fix it right now. I will work on it but a snail might be faster.

The main focus of my LJ is my fanfiction, but you may also come across other fanworks and fandom musings and just occasionally a personal or inspirational post.

My fiction veers wildly from general and fluff through to extremely dark and uncomfortable. What can I say? My muse is random and I like to explore different plots and relationship/power dynamics. Please check warnings and tags for squicks and triggers and heed those warnings.

I don't own any rights to any of the shows that my fiction dabbles in and I don't make any profit on it.
I do write RPF, especially J2. Please note that in all of these stories I simply like to play with their visage, in much the same way as they would act out a character as a part of their profession. Their real lives and relationships are none of my business.

Thank you for visiting my playground. Comments are the love and lifeblood of a fandom writer. I welcome concrit and promise I don't bite.

For PDF/ePUB etc most of my fic can be found on my A03 although it tends to be updated some time after LJ.

I am not an arty person. I rarely have a burning desire to dash to see a piece of installation art but oh my,Banksy and friends have outdone themselves in Weston-Super-Mare and I am gutted that I am too far away to go and experience it.

The imagery depicted in what I can see in press releases of Dismaland is deliciously dark and satirical. Honestly, it gives me creative chills of the ooh inspiration for pitch-black dark fic kind.

Now, I'm not saying that some of my flist share my love of all things dark and dystopian *cough* [livejournal.com profile] sylsdarkplace [livejournal.com profile] meus_venator [livejournal.com profile] fufaraw [livejournal.com profile] tipsy_kitty the whole of the [livejournal.com profile] evilsam_spn community and more *cough* but I am not going to waste an opportunity by not drawing attention to the general yumminess and possibilities for all sorts of creativity.

Check out a few:

And I am pretty sure there will be a ton load more over the internet over the next few weeks. So yes, I'll just wait over here with puppy eyes and human sacrifices.

Oh and in case you are in the West Country in the next five weeks and want to check  it for real  (because dude - the entry fee is only £3.00 an adult to see work by 58 artists) just to make me cry with insane jealousy  the official site for tickets to Dismaland Bemusement Park and info is here.

Happy Sunday. Hope everyone is having an awesome one. Especially the ones at Toronto Con *turns a bright shade of jealous green and mutters "lucky bitches* under her breath.

Life has been a bit of a bitch of late, so creativity,concentration, and time on the pc has gone out of the window for me. I did get ten minutes today to sit down with a cup of tea and a couple of Andromeda screencaps and play with GIMP though, and this was the result. {Credit to Andromeda-web.com for the source caps}

I may never fully get the hang of the graphics thing but I definitely learned a little more and that's gotta count for something, right?

...and I'm gonna squee over it.

It was such a lovely surprise to log on and find a whole set of art for 'The Unsuitable Slave' .

The detail is incredible, the depiction of the dark war-torn world they live in and of course the seemingly commanding and confident warrior Prince Jensen with the quietly courageous and oh-so insecure Prince Jared. I just love the colors, the images that were chosen and of course the way it was put together. She is so talented in her manipulations and graphic detail. The art post includes this PDF/PUB cover, a header, chapter banners and snatchable icons - and they make the story look like -woah this can't be mine!  But it is, and I am so flattered and honored and feel so loved all at once. You really have to go take a look here  where it is all proper size (mine is sized for a small screen) and give meus_venator the love she deserves.

I am so lucky. I am currently flailing over this gorgous art that [info]meus_venator  has made for my Christmas Tree fic.

Everything about it is just perfect and beautifully captures poor abused omega!Jared, his wolf and the concern of alpha!Jensen in the fabulous setting of a Wolf-Pass Winter. It is exactly how I pictured the bottom of the mountain by the Wolf-Pass Pack's home.  As for the Christmas Tree, it's just perfect too, with every bit of wonder that captivates Jared. Those lights!!!

and there's a chapter banner too.
The full size pics for a bigger monitor than mine can be seen at her journal here http://meus-venator.livejournal.com/10156.html drop by to give her some praise!
