This is lovely! (thinks. reconsiders the accepted meaning of "lovely". lets it stand) It is a cautionary tale, and lesson to be learned. You weave the imagery so well, so few words, and such clear and powerful images. Such inevitability. I believe Mari is, like her kind, just and necessary for balance keeping in the world.

I can't think why anyone wouldn't like this story--even if it makes one shiver!
